Pretty good retelling, although predictable. A good light hearted read. Looking forward to what's next.

This was a beautiful retelling of the story of Cinderella in a magical world that is a beautiful mix of our modern world and a futuristic world foreign to us.

If it wasn't for the fact that I predicted the ending of the book at page 100 (this is a 400 page book, by the way) then I would have EASY given it 4 stars, if not 4.5, but there was no sense of surprise for me.

Nonetheless, I do recommend everyone go read it!!

I enjoyed it and I’m excited to read the next book Scarlett. It is very predictable and I was able to guess what should’ve been a twist ending but I enjoy those types of books, it take out a lot of anxiety lol.

Just as fun this time around as I remember it being! I was pretty impressed that this held up after almost 10 years.

Cinderella is a cyborg, the prince and his palace are in New Beijing, the wicked stepmother is outdone by a vicious queen from outer space, and a plague adds to all the peril, but the adventure, romance, and heroism are as epic and enchanting as ever in this sci-fi young adult retelling of the classic fairy tale. I look forward to continuing the series, meeting more fairy tale heroines in new forms, and exploring more of Cinder’s universe!

I really liked this story. However, I found it lacking. We don’t get any history on the characters or the world. I enjoyed the cyborg Cinderella angle. I also liked Prince Kai. They still felt a little flat for me though. I just needed more.

As soon as it was mentioned they were looking for a Lunar princess it was obvious to me that it was Cinder.
