Honestly, I don’t have the words to explain how much I adored this story. Hunter Lane, sweetheart, I’m literally in love with you. The author did an incredible job introducing the characters, and creating a story with so many beautiful symbols. I loved the way Marley and Hunter met. When her car breaks down, she stumbles upon the Lane’s property, where she’s held at gunpoint. Hunter immediately hates her because she’s from a big city (his ex hurt him). The characters slowly become friends and Hunter finally opens up to Marley. However, he begins to drink and drive again (literally made me cry because his mom), and she calls the cops on him which causes him to dislike her again. Also the way he calls her Bambi (goodbye). When Hunter finds out she’s moving he does everything to change her mind. AND THEY END UP HAPPILY MARRIED WITH KIDS.

uh no thank you

Listen…I am obsessed. This book was SO GOOD I couldn’t put it down honestly.

Hunter had me so mad in the beginning I just wanted to shake him until he could see how much Marley was trying, but honestly I loved how their relationship formed. This book had me laughing (green beans) and crying and just never wanting it to end.

I really enjoyed getting the other characters perspective in a couple chapters too, I feel like it really added to the story and I like the direction Marie took it.

This book deals with very heavy subjects though so definitely read the trigger warnings before reading it and If you can handle them then I definitely recommend this to you.

i enjoyed this. i really liked hunter. i think the beginning was a little long and i preferred the end. i also with that britt had been a friends with benefits and that she never got attached to hunter because honestly there wasn’t really a reason for that. like it didn’t add the plot and just made the “crazy woman” trope which was a little annoying. i was expecting a little more sexiness based on the tiktoks the author posted but not mad and that didn’t effect the rating. overall it was solid and enjoyable.
as i read: i get that he’s supposed to be a morally gray/not great character but the drunk driving makes me so angry. i get the reasoning for the shortened words like and to n’ to show the difference but i really don’t think people from nebraska have a strong enough accent to be worthy writing it in. i like that we’ve seen him shed tears. hunters annoyed with marley for genuinely no reason like i would get it if she had been a bit uptight but she literally hasn’t been so what’d the point. it does suck that his dad is just forgetting his mom and hunter doesn’t have anyone to talk to about her. okay hunters personality change happened a bit too quick but i am happy he’s not a complete dick anymore. P&D and how fast it became a chain is so unrealistic also like it’s a hardware store wtf. i did not need a description of sex with britt. okay what is hunters job lolol. we still have 100 pages so that third act breakup i just know us coming better nov suck. the book embosser is the best gift ever. the time jumps are unexpected but i don’t mind them cause i like seeing them together. okay i love that there wasn’t a third act breakup.

Such a waste. Disappointing.
How do you write a book with a shitty male lead and call it a romance? Grief doesn’t excuse poor behavior.

Cute pero sin más. Tenía bastante hype por booktok pero no llegó a mis expectativas.

I heard so many good things about this book and I was really excited to read it. It was good but for me it was missing something. I’m not sure what but I didn’t feel fully connected to the characters. But overall it was enjoyable to read

this book would probably be half as long if either Hunter went to therapy or Marley wasn’t a HUGE pushover

i love enemies to lovers, but this wasn’t it.. plot was good, but execution was subpar, could’ve been so much better

Hunter is the biggest ass & was such a man child 70% of the time, then there’s Marley who lets everyone walk over her

3 stars anyway since it was a quick & easy read, but not something i’s remember
