Not the illustrated version, but still the same short story.

This one hooked me from the first - it threw me into the situation and I could visualise the people and feel the tension straight away. I absolutely love that - when you're captured immediately into the middle of something. Even more so when you realise what a dangerous situation it is. As soon as The Lot was mentioned, I knew it was bad.

Snow storms are horrible. I've driven in a couple here in the UK but I'd imagine they're tame in comparison to the ones in the states. When we get snow, it's not like we get enough to have to shovel it away, so I would imagine that that kind of snowfall is pretty damn scary. That said, I wouldn't have driven in it. Especially not at night. And if I did, and I got stuck, there's no way I'm leaving my family in the car stranded while I go look for help.

But as a plot device? Awesome.

I'm not surprised that no one is in a hurry to rush out and help, given the history of that particular town. The connection is clear - The Lot has always been an evil place, and always will be. Stay away!

I enjoyed this a lot more than the companion in this book , Jerusalems Lot. I think that it feels more modern, and that, topped with the fact that I prefer this style of writing rather than the episcopal style of Jerusalem, made this a decent, enjoyable read.

Total rip off of the main book and undermines the ending in my view. It's like a short, watered-down version of the original.

Another short story in Night Shift that takes place within ‘Salem’s Lot. This one was good but nowhere near as great as Jerusalem’s Lot. I love that King started the whole multiverse idea that’s extremely popular now in other forms of media. Seeing stories like this one and others where characters are referenced from other books is just such an awesome idea and it just makes reading King that much more fun. You never know which character or place is going to be referenced next.

A nice short story after the epilogue of Salem's Lot.

Absolutely loved this short story! ‘Salem’s Lot is one of my favorite King books and this short takes place around that town and in that same storyline. Was really great to be back here!

I love King's short fiction and if this had not been a little sip of 'salems Lot I would have loved it. Because it's just a taste, it left me unsatisfied and wanting more.

Artfully told and great illustration, but...I wanted it all!
