This book has made me and unmade me so many times. I have cried and laughed and cried over and over, especially with anything regarding our precious Luther.

I fell truly in love with this series, even though at times I wasn't loving the FMC, Diem. We have her grow, but she still comes across as reckless and naive, making me roll my eyes. But, Luther is there to make everything right.

The cliffhanger was heartbreaking and now I have to wait to see it to the end. But, I will be waiting, patiently.

DID NOT FINISH: 13%

Found the main character insufferable. Her poor choices throughout the second and third books are the primary cause of most of the story’s conflict, and her character development is nonexistent. She refuses to learn from her mistakes over and over again. The world and story itself are so promising and interesting so it’s a shame that Diem cannot learn to trust and have faith in the people around her.

Thank you NetGalley for sending me this ARC.

I have been enjoying the Kindred Curse series, however this book definitely didn't need to be this long. Some parts were repetitive, and Diem is prone to being naive - like taking Luther's reluctance to be with her or let her touch her as rejection instead of what it clearly was, him being injured/dying.

I am intrigued to see how Diems powers will develop and seeing the war play out.

While not as good as the first two books, I loved the multiple twists and tension throughout this one.

The concept had potential, but the book felt longer than necessary, and Diem was a frustrating lead. Similar to the other books, I felt like certain parts repeated or dragged. There's 800 pages, so this felt more intense and caused me to be bored at certain points.

I've liked seeing Diem grow, but I'm impatient for more answers. I feel like we got none and just more confusing twists and turns. It had its moments, but overall, it didn't quite land for me.
