I felt it was realistic enough for me to enjoy but still fantastical enough for me to not feel stressed about irl issues. (I already know things are terrible. Go beyond that.) I think the dry humor in the story and characters really helped.

I loved the two leads! Halyard is sooo pathetic it's awesome. And Resaint is so weird I love her.

The world building is interesting but often times it is just dumped on you which made this book take a while for me to finish. It felt like an overload of info at times. This gets easier to manage like 40% in.

The epilogues are great and it sparked my interest in the story much like how Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep did. You really feel like you are being pulled in for the ride and made to think about what you are reading. I'm still kinda thinking about the endings.

I loved reading the venomous lumpsucker. I liked the authors creativity and depth into the story, world building (especially the world building you'll love it if your nerdy about techy future stuff. I can understand some people can view it as the story being to dense)  the characters and the character's dialogue in how they expressed differing opinions/different perspectives .
The only thing I would complain about would be the climax seemed a little rushed.
(Spoilers ) I wish the author maybe fleshed out Barka's character out some how. Tho Barkas motives for killing the animals and having the conservation park made were pretty solid and were quite interesting to read It just seemed like he became a villian in a split second. I also feel like the ending between Warkentin and Halyard and there change of perspective could have been elaborated on. Other than those things I absolutely loved everything. (ESPECIALLY THE EPILOGUE TWO).
