Aldous Huxley created a sickening world - a world in which you must not (and really kind of can’t) think on your own. Everyone has a special place, an from birth assigned rank and belongs to everyone. The individual is sacrificed for the greater good: the happiness of the community. Combined with ruthless Capitalism and Conditioning, the author presents us a peek into a dystopian word, in which, if you were born into it, might love the society you live in, although finding it horrendous from the outside perspective. Between various problems mentioned in this novel, it brings up the question which aspect weighs more: freedom or happiness, and further, if true happiness can exist in a peaceful world or should rather be sacrificed for the greater good.

“Community, Identity, Stability”, is it worth it?

This book is gross. It is meant to be a warning against excess, and the pursuit of happiness above all else,  but, is so unnerving and bizarre that it just feels campy, and emotionally manipulative.
