I really liked the ghosts.

Wertung:
5 Sterne

I hated this book. I hated the female MC. She was a freaking idiot. I mean seriously TSTL. And I HATE that for some reason this was split up into 2 books. Wtf? I hate that I have to read another book with Pia(sp?) as the narrator. GAH!!!!

DID NOT FINISH

Wasn't into it

This book was interesting, but in all honesty, a bit slow moving. I had problems following it in places, and the heroine's rather nonchalant reaction to the fact that she'd slept with a vampire kind of took the excitement away. That's not to say that it was a bad book; I enjoyed it, just that I've read better. I did like the heroine, and I liked the fact that she was chubby, and not the little waif type you always find in these books. Also liked the fact she wasn't a 20-something. I guess I identified with her better because of it.

I didn’t realize when I packed this book for our cruise to Iceland, but it takes place in the very place we are cruising to!  An enjoyable romp into the world of the Dark Ones! My advice, don’t expect a standard romance novel, this has more twists.  I am a little sad I didn’t pack the next in the series!

Realistically, I’d rate this more of a 3.5. It took a while for this story to pick up, and I wasn’t really invested until about 65% through. The plot felt someone disjointed at the beginning and Alec being immediately in love with Pia was weird. With that said, the story eventually developed a strong narrative thread, and I’m excited to see what the best book in the series has to bring for Pia.

Hilarious. Large and lovely Pia Thomason stumbles into a war between vampires and The Brotherhood, a group of zealots who wish to rid the earth of vampires. As she is pulled between the two groups she finds herself married to Kristoff, handsome and sexy teal eyed vampire, and Mathias, religious leader of the Brotherhood. This book is a laugh a minute!
