If heaven requires a want! to be there, how many people would think they're better off without it? Would I let myself go? Would my loved ones?

God is not willing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9) but He gives you essentially complete control over your destiny. [b:The Great Divorce|17267|The Great Divorce|C.S. Lewis|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1166805741s/17267.jpg|1215780] is an interesting book in that it doesn't have a lot of fire and brimstone in it, yet it still captures the essential nature of what we imagine (with the Bible's help) Hell to be like.

Those who inhabit Hell have made themselves their own god (they want no other). As such, they keep spreading out from their fellow inhabitants (obviously they don't need their company).

Yet Hell is such the opposite from Heaven (ultimate reality) that it is gray, ghostly, and smaller than a grain of sand.

Praise God for providing us a salvation that we didn't deserve and couldn't earn on our own.

Lewis is not to be missed

Another deep and thoughtful masterpiece by Lewis spanning the human condition, purpose of life, and what is to come in the hereafter.

So deep. So thought-provoking. I want to buy my own copy and go through it with a pen and highlighter.
