A fun read, shorter than the others, but I really liked Shaw & his mystery. I loved the idea of Katie's dilemma about being so much older than him, even though as the reader, you know all along how it's going to turn out. YAY for more Nina, of course. Teeny is also another win of a character. The ending was a bit pat, though - too rushed.

The rating should improve after reading the earlier books in the series because there are a lot of previous characters that were funny but I was a little lost.

It seemed like it broke from the pattern/formula in the beginning but left something to be desired by the end.

I should know better by now than to try to drink anything while reading this series by Ms Cassidy as it usually comes spewing out at unfortunate moments. Kinda like comments from the irrepressible Nina. It's not art but it is really fun to read. Keep em coming and I'll keep buying and reading them.

Katie has moved back home to live with her aunt starting her own veterinary practice but the locals don’t trust her. When leaving work one night an unconscious cougar outside they assume is from the exotic animal attraction down the road. They get him in a cage only to find in the morning that the cougar is gone left behind an attractive man way too young for her but that’s the least of her problems. Katie was scratched by the cougar and is starting to show symptoms of being something else plus the young man doesn’t know who he is.

Without knowing what else to do Katie’s receptionist Ingrid puts out a call to OOPS who happen to be the girls from the prior books who set up a supernatural hotline. When Wanda and Nina arrive in town they find Katie is turning into a werecougar which is a rare breed. The girls get arrested in the assault of the animal attraction doctor, and need a demon to bail them out. The more Katie gets to know Beck/Shaw the more she finds herself falling for the younger man but his past is coming back to haunt him which could mean her life too.

I loved Katie she’s not your typical collage age girl but older 41 she has a career and a past but I think that’s what makes her a real character. Of course I love the girls from the prior books. Katie is defiantly my favorite so far of them all so far but her life is anything but boring living with her Aunt and Ingrid. I liked Beck/Shaw right off the bat because he knew project runway which is one of my favorite shows. He just kept getting better as the book progressed.

I fell in love with Katie and Shaw’s story what’s not to love about a shapeshifter story when you toss in a few other supernatural beings. The whole concept for Accidentally Catty is really cute, the author has written a captivating story that I found hard to put down. Her writing style is one of my favorite it’s easy to lose all track of time with her books and the story flows along smoothly. The book is a mix of mystery romance and humor that creates a perfect story. The characters are easy to connect with I couldn’t help falling in love with the new ones like I did the old. Each book tells the story of a different couple with a different supernatural being so far so each story is unique and enjoyable even adding the prior characters to the current book. I honestly can’t say enough how much I love this series it’s a fun quick read that does have some mature moments but overall mature teens as well as adults will enjoy. I’m anxiously looking forward to starting the next book with the new one coming out the end of the summer.

What I Loved: Let me say this upfront and apologetically: I LOVE the Accidental Series. It is such a fun, light Paranormal Read. This is one of those series, that without fail, will make me laugh out loud and have water coming out of my nose (aka the induction into The Snort Club-my special place for books that are just that funny)! This book had everything I love about the series: Handsome Paranormal Hunk (Check), Accidental Human turned into Paranormal (Check), The Gals from the Previous Books (Check), and a few other characters that make all my frowns turn upside down! I really loved Katie and Spanky together! Aunt Teeny made me giggle and the whole Animal Kingdom Crew just really warmed the heart!

What I Liked: The twitter feeds! Let me just say that if Nina and OOPS (which is brilliant by the way) were really on Twitter; I would put them on their own list and spend all day cracking up. Nina never fails to make me smile but mostly I think it is Wanda/Marty trying to wrangle her in that make me laugh more. Not ever going to work ladies LOL.

Complaints: None! This gave me what I have come to expect and love about Dakota Cassidy books!

Why I gave it a 4: This one is more like Wanda/Marty than Nina/Casey but I like them all. If you are looking for a fun, light, easy to read book this series will fulfill that need. I will call them the Chic-lit equivalent in the Paranormal world, which means not everyone will like them but I sure do!

Who I would recommend it too: My PNR peeps that like the fun, light, and sometimes snarky humor that can be found in these books!

Additional Thoughts:

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated By Meredith Mitchell / Length: 11 hrs and 20 mins

Meredith has really grown on me over the course of this series. I am excited because the next book is new to me. It has been fun listening to her doing characters I already know. I am excited to hear her do new to me characters.

Final Thought Ready for the next one :)

This is the first book of the series that I actually really enjoyed. I loved it in fact... I have been on the fence about this series from the beginning. The first 4 books were 2 star reads for me and then this book happened and I am 100% in now. I love the OOPS business. I love the 4 core characters now. I found them extremely annoying when they were the main characters in their own books but as side characters they are absolutely fantastic. They make me laugh instead of annoy me like they did in their own books.

I have already finished the next book and I loved it as well. I know this review tells you nothing about his specific book but its the turning point for me. I was about to give up on this series all together and I am so so glad I didn't.

Another fun read from The Accidentals! I'm glad I stuck with this series when it had a less than stellar start - the characters drew me in and continue to make it a really fun series to read. I really enjoyed some of the twists in Accidentally Catty - the girls have started an agency/company/whatever-you-call-it named OOPS for helping accidental paranormals such as themselves and they get a phone call from a vet who has sprouted a paw after helping a cougar and getting scratched.

I think Nina is my favorite character in the series - she's so outwardly harsh but clearly has a heart of gold. I'm looking forward to reading more in the series, though I do think I'm taking a short break to switch series for a little bit.

I'm so glad I decided to this series on audio - the narration has been really good and I've come to identify the ladies by their voices that fit them so well.
