I don't understand the negative reviews. I think it's a very good book inside its genre. Reminded me of Stephen King and Coraline.
At the end the battle did get a little too long for me, but the backstory of the Imaginary World and its inhabitants was very interesting; the end page though, I'm not sure I like. I would've loved more development on the aftermath of the town and the people.
I feel like the character development overall was lacking a little, it was definitely more world-focused.
I could see some similarities in the characters and the writing between The Perks and this one. Very appreciated, CHarlie and CHristopher.

Me entreteve? Muito. Às vezes isso é o suficiente.)

First 550 pages amazing and horrific and so good. Last half; oddly religious. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t my favourite book. I’m glad I have it and read it it was great for what I liked and I gave it 4 because of that, but the end was a bit lacklustre.

I had the misfortune of choosing this book as an audiobook. 23 long hours later and I have finally reached the end. This book started out with an intriguing premise, however, it quickly turned into redundancy and shock horror. Chbosky tried to paint horrific scenes, but when it is done every other page the shock wears off and the effect starts to become humorous. The build up to the real action of this book was short, which meant the majority of the book was me waiting for a resolution. The "twists" were predictable and mundane. By the end of the book I was checking to see how many hours were left to listen to quite often. Also if I have to hear the words "blue moon" or "death is coming" again I may scream.
