Very informative book, but very dry and felt longer to listen to then it actually was.

A good overview on movies that shaped what the industry was in it's glory days.

It goes over the early movies up to the 2000's and it was a great refresher. Granted I've heard about most of the movies rather than see them, but now I got a list on what to watch next.

I also like the fact they go into other countries films like old boy, and other movies i can't think of their names at the moment. Whoops.

Love every single explanation about the history of motion pictures. There's might not be your favorite movie, but the details were more than enough. I hope there's a renewal in the next 5 decades.

This was a great read. I learned a lot about movies I loved, and more about movies I haven't yet seen. I now have a list of at least 50 to watch. However, I think there should have been more horror. And I'm also very disappointed that there wasn't ONE Tim Burton film included in this book... Not cool.

I'm not sure what criteria was used to choose which movies went into this book. I didn't know most of the movies. Some sounded interesting. I liked reading about the movies I did know. The Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, Jaws, Singin' In the Rain. Lots of information about directors, actors, and what the film was about and behind the scenes.

GREAT intro to film! Broken out and arranged for maximum efficiency. Looking forward to reading similar books.
