OMG, this book! I couldn’t put it down and the ending…

I’m not sure I can even process my feelings, this book was good and the twist, I need more!

I can’t wait for more. Nik you’re on my favorite authors list now and I’m glad I got to read this book.

P.S. This is a great story with delicious spice, just how I like it.

✨️ARC review✨️ One More Time by Nik Robbins
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I was so excited when I received this ARC copy. The book sounded great, with lots of promise.
Unfortunately, for me anyway, it was okay, but fell short of it's full potential.

The MFC was actually a great character. She was a single mother, independent and a great attitude for life. Then she gets married and her personality changes. Bear in mind this is not her fault, and I only have empathy for anyone who has been through it.
Once she manages to get rid of said 🛎end does she start to become more her old self again.

There are 2 MMC, the 1st is her husband, a complete 💩 who treats her awfully.
The 2nd is his old buddy who has always loved her since seeing her in a bookshop many years before and helps her escape her husband and shows her what love should be.

Now you're thinking this sounds like a typical romance with the hero helping the damsel in distress. Well, that's not the case. There is a massive twist, which I can safely say I did not see coming.

I found the last 1/4 of the book quite confusing and the ending seemed really rushed, and I'm not actually sure what the deal is with it. I have sooooo many questions.

There is a good deal of spice thrown in this book as well, but it's woven into the story nicely.

The writing was easy to get into and I liked the style of her writing. I would read another of Niks books, but I NEED answers first! Please!

I'm left with questions, like what the heck is really going on, Is kye really bad like Mitchell, or is there something I'm missing, and the cliffhanger has me wanting answers , I would love for thena to get her happy ending, and that there is more to kye, and he is not evil like Mitchell, because I love thena and kye together...

As I sit here typing this I have no words for what I just read. My brain is buzzing with the events that unfolded at the end, and knowing that there is more to come. This story while truly tragic and gut wrenching, is written beautifully. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

It took some getting used to the style of writing, but once getting passed that I actually really started enjoying it. On top of that the story was absolutely great, it was intense and kept you on your toes, needing to know what happened, especially towards the last third or so of the book. Absolutely would recommend. Can't wait for book 2, leaves off on a cliffhanger, but so worth it!

“Just remember, only you can do the work of piecing your heart back together once someone has wronged you. Their actions are their own, but you are responsible for how you move forward."

O.M.G This book! Man, this book not only did it take me longer to read but it also took me longer to even gather my thoughts to even write a review. When I tell you that it left my mind all scrambled at the end is a total understatement.

I've found that anytime that I'm reading a book that involves DV in it. Whether it's emotional, mental or physical abuse it makes me take a pause to reflect on how a person can lose themselves during the relationship. And the amount of strength it takes for them to  finally break the cycle to walk away even knowing that's a lot of times walking away doesn't always mean you will be a free person. Specially when kids are involved.

This book will have you in a rollercoaster of emotions. You will get betrayal. Tears of sadness and happiness. A mother's strength to protect her child. Lies that will be uncovered. And for me the loss of trusting someone. The cliffy left me with So.Many.Questions.

One More Time is the story of Thena, a woman trapped in a toxic marriage with a verbally abusive and unfaithful husband. As the weight of his cruelty becomes unbearable, Thena reaches out for help from her husband’s best friend, Kye, who has been in love with her for years. The unspoken love between Thena and Kye adds a layer of forbidden passion and emotional tension that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.

This book has it all! It will have you laughing, crying, blushing and ready to throw something as you read. This is a powerful story that exposes the devastating effects of a toxic marriage while offering a glimmer of hope for a way out and starting new. With its relatable characters, gripping plot, and cliffhanger ending, it is a must-read for fans of psychological thrillers and stories of resilience. I can’t wait for the next book!!!!
