Another winning story from Rebecca Jenshak! I love this series as it highlights smart athletes and great characters. These are the kinds of books I can really sink my teeth into. This one features Zeke and Gabby. Gabby is entering college for the first time as a junior. She had and unfortunate accident previously and now has the chance to start her life. Zeke is a reserved, good looking, smart basketball player, and these two are so much fun to get to know. Jenshak has a way of putting together complex characters, yet are easy to relate to. Gabby has had it tough, overcoming obstacles. Zeke is focused on his career and doesn't see the bigger picture. We all have had things like this in our lives, and listening to their story as they stumble, fall and get back up, working together as friends with a slow burn to lovers is just the perfect shot! I love this addition to the series and can't wait to see what Jenshak has in store for us next in the series.

Now for the narration. I have heard about Jakobi Diem, but had not yet heard him. And all I can say is WOW. He is the perfect fit for Zeke, a strong, protective, masculine sound, a little cocky but so understanding. He pulls it all off with his portrayal and it is easy to fall for Zeke! Paired with Savannah Peachwood, who nails Gabby, with her innocence yet has that determined feel underneath, the story flows easiliy and is complete entertainment.

5 Bucketlist of fun stars!!
This is the story we have all been waiting for, silent, hot and broody I introduce you to Zeke Sweets. He has only one thing on his mind and that is basketball. I can see why he just wants to get into the NBA and that’s a tough goal and he needs to be determined no distractions. He’s kind of a loner though and doesn’t go out often. I’m not sure how Wes and he are BFF though because Wes is so outgoing. I like that Gabby seems to bring him out of his shell and that it seems to bring him closer to all his basketball friends. This man is beyond humble, he doesn’t take credit for anything amazing he does. Zeke is also super sweet to all the women in his life, all of his basketball friends’ girlfriends and their friends. He never says no to their requests, including Gabby’s list.

Speaking of Gabby’s list, that is a pretty outgoing list for someone’s first year at college. Don’t get me wrong she’s the same age as the other girls she has just been hiding from the world because of her scars. Gabby is way more outgoing in this book than she lets on in previous books and I LOVE that she is very YOLO in this book. She is figuring out who she is and is taking Zeke along for the ride. She is definitely naïve in some ways but that is to be expected since she hasn’t really gone out and experienced much of life, but her outgoing nature is so contagious that it didn’t seem to matter.

Again, this story was so slow burn that the characters were able to build a relationship and friendship before the romance. I’m thinking of finishing of the series if book 4 is the last of the series and she’s not writing more? Either way I’m really loving how this author writes these books…

I've wanted Zeke's story from the very second we met him in The Assist.(I'm pretty sure I've been in love with him since then as well.) And here he it is. To say I was not disappointed with The Tip-Off would be a massive understatement. I love, love, love Zeke and Gabby's story. Rebecca Jenshak gave us the sweetest slow burn. It was the perfect new adult friends to lovers romance.

Zeke and Gabby are so frigging cute together. Their love gave my heart the happiest feelings. They were exactly what they needed for each other. And they're both genuinely good people. Zeke has always been so driven and basketball focused. Destined for the NBA. I love that Gabby helped him realize what was important in life. In return he became her partner in crime, living the full college experience. I loved their seize the day attitude. He also helped her overcome some of her insecurities. Embraced all her scars and made her feel beautiful. All the swoons.

I can't get enough of this series. It has quickly become one of my all time favorites. A must read if you love college sports romances. Nathan's story is next. Squeee!! I can't wait. But before that, I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend picking up The Tip-Off.

This was SO perfect!!! Gabby and Zeke were the best friends to lovers! He helped her with her "list" and she helped him learn to "Seize the Day."

When a hyper career focused man meets a woman just trying to come out of her shell and chemistry explodes! Whew!

The following is the LAST line of the book and it had me in tears... fair warning.

Spoiler"Marry me, because if it came between you and food, I'd pick you every time." "You'd die without food!"
"Some things are worth dying for."

This has been the best book in the series.
I could listen to Jakobi Diem ALL DAY LONG!!! Perfect narration with him and Savannah Peachwood
