Deliciously Unethical

This love story was deliciously unethical because Tyler felt for his physical therapist, Alec. It was good love story. The sex scene was smoking. I like how Davies doesn’t make homophobia center stage in his books. While Alec’s homophobic parents are mentioned, they don’t occupy much of the story and it’s nice.

There are a few things I always love about this series. It’s always fast pace in the beginning, but slows once they get the initial meeting behind them. The couples are always having fun and make me laugh. The couple always stick together during hard times. Alec and Tyler are no different. This series is such a good read/listen and I find it to be such a great comfort.

Alec and Tyler don’t have it easy but they keep it together. And I think I’ve said this in every E. Davies review on this series, I just love how the couples stick together when facing their problems. Too many books you have the main couples breaking up, but not here and I love it. Worth the read or listen.

If you listen to this series then you will get the pleasure of listening to the great Greg Boudreaux who does such a fantastic job, and I just love him bringing this series to life. I could listen to him all the time!

This was one of my favorite stories in this series.
Ty the race car driver gets hurt and well he needs help Alec is just doing his job but he can’t help the feelings he has for Ty but it’s complicated.
I love that they both love their careers, but like I said complicated who wants to be the first outwardly gay man. Why should it matter so much? It shouldn’t.
I liked how they worked around a lot of their feelings and in the end how they threw caution to the wind.
Fantastic.

I bought the whole box set as audiobooks a while back and I used to listen to them every once in a while.
They were all around a 3-4 Star rating but this story just couldn't hold my attention.

To get yet another peak into the lives of the Significant Brothers is always a joy. I really enjoy these books for the love story that overcomes adversity in big and small ways. In personal and public ways. Tyler and Alec were no different but faced both public and personal ones at the same time. They did a great job of leaning on each other and giving us a real good, feel good story. Ed always gives me the best HEAs and this is just another one to add to the list

2.5 stars for the story C-
4.5 stars for narration by Greg Boudreaux

You know the saying, "That was a meeting that should have been an email?" Well, this was a book that should have been a novella. There was a decent love story and a very small mystery plot (very small), but the combination wasn't enough to sustain even a shortish (6 hour) audiobook. There was a lot of filler that didn't move the story forward, mainly because there wasn't much story. Closeted racecar driver has crash, flirts with closeted PT. Will they won't they? Yes, no, maybe, and then yes again. It will ruin my career to come out! Mine, too! Repeat as needed. Boring.

The question of maybe the accident wasn't an accident was little more than an afterthought and if you sneezed you missed the entire culmination. Seriously! I rewound several times trying to see what I missed. That ending didn't seems feasible. Spoiler Alert! (You were warned.)
SpoilerThe investigators didn't find anything, but two women (a wife and girlfriend of drivers) figured out what was probably happening, alerted the team owner, who alerted the authorities and it was all buttoned up in a matter of a day or two??

The only reason I'm being this generous is the narration is excellent as usual!

I blazed through this book. Probably due to the added pressure of being outed and potentially damaging their respective careers was not going to stop the romance. Super sweet and racy with an ending that did not allow the characters to wallow in self-doubt.
