I loved this book so much! It's not quite 4 stars because I did predict a few bits earlier on in the book, but it was still a great read, and still exciting as my predictions were revealed!
The story follows Eve and Bram after their great escape, and unearths some of the EPOs disturbing secrets and corruption. Full of twists, and characters revealing their true selves, definitely looking forward to book 3!! ( Please fast forward to release day 😂)

The second book in the Eve of Man series, and the action takes place right after the first book. We see the alternating viewpoints of main characters Eve and Bram, with the addition of a new viewpoint; newly appointed commander of the Final Guard Michael.

The 3 viewpoints keep the story fresh and engaging, as you see the impact of Eve’s escape from The Tower on all those affected, and Eve adjusts to freedom. And it’s great to see the world in which they all live on expand (both with the ‘Freevers’ and in The Tower). As there’s another book planned, there’s a cliffhanger, that I didn’t see coming! Can’t wait for book 3.

The second instalment to the Eve of Man trilogy follows Eve rebelling against the world that she was trapped in, that imprisoned her as the last girl on Earth. She has finally escaped and has freedom, but will she survive?

I have definitely outgrown this genre, and if I was 15 I think I would love it – there’s no denying that it is a good premise and the writers each taking a character’s voice works really well.

Although it was predictable in parts, the world that has been created in what used to be London was really well done and I enjoyed seeing the contrast between the Tower and the Deep.
The story follows Eve and Bram whilst discovering new supporters and traitors in their world where everything isn’t what it seems.

Unfortunately, I didn’t feel like I was excited to pick up the book and read it, but when I was reading I did enjoy it.

I honestly cannot wait for the next in this series, simply because of the happenings in the last chapter. Fantastic installment in what is sure to become one of my favourite non fantasy based series.

They have done it again. Another cracking installment of The Eve Trilogy. The first part ended on a cliff hanger and I have waited such a long time to read part 2. It does not disappoint.

Action packed from start to finish, it is the perfect book to escape into right now.

The ending, yes you guessed it another cliff hanger but I am bursting for part 3.

Thank you netgalley for sending me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
