**GAH** I love this series! I devoured all 3 volumes in one sitting! Thanks to Amanda and Hannah for the recommendation. These first 3 volumes gave me all the warm fuzzy feelings. I love how the author/artist captures all the butterflies and insecurity of a crush, the confusion of questioning your sexuality, the beauty and messiness of friendship, and shitty high school experiences like bullying and homophobia. There's a mention of self-harm and I think future volumes might dive into eating disorders. There is so much joy and love on these pages, and lucky for us we'll get more in a 4th volume to come soon!

Lovely but the Netflix show is such a faithful adaptation of it, I’m not really compelled to keep reading

RECAP: Charlie Spring is in Year 10 at Truham Grammar School & is finally having a better year after being outed & bullied. Nick Nelson, a Year 11 rugby player, has heard of Charlie but never talked to him. When they become friends, Charlie starts to fall for Nick, even though he doesn’t think he has a chance. But love can be surprising, and good things might be just around the corner.
REVIEW: This was cute, but that’s about it. I read it for a Storygraph challenge & finished it in about half an hour - which makes me wonder if that was part of my problem. The author is super talented with the illustrations, and I can definitely appreciate that. I wonder if I would have enjoyed it more if I had a physical copy (read via ebook) and had maybe gone through at a slower pace. Overall, the story felt rushed, shallow & pretty juvenile (probably because it’s meant for a younger audience, but still).

This was so cute and wholesome! I can't wait to read the next one!
I love the teacher. You can't tell what sexuality someone is just by looking at them, and it's rude to speculate. Go her.
Rep: gay, bi
