Heartstopper volume 1 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yes, I read it after I saw the show, but I loved it so much! The show really did the book so much justice it’s amazing! Truly deserves the hype it’s getting lately.

Somehow the book showcases the spark between Nick and Charlie even better. I fell even more in love with these characters. Charlie is utterly adorable and so is Nick and everything just WORKS.

I’m usually not really a fan of graphic novels because I never viewed them as real books but… I take that back. I’m putting aside my prejudice because of tl his awesome little series that I plan on devouring and keeping with me forever. Heartstopper is definitely going to become one of my all time favourites.

Generally I really enjoyed this. It’s really sweet and cute and I really love the art style. I also love how the art kind of falls off the frames sometimes, like with the leaves and snow. This is really innocent though and, through no fault of its own, I’m kind of used to graphic novels being very NOT innocent. But then they swear in it so it’s not that innocent?? Yeah.. I know there's a lot of heavier, more serious scenes and content to come so maybe the innocent language (because to me it does feel really innocent) kind of offsets that a bit?? idk, really like it though
