I was slow to get into this, because I hadn't realised it was set in a high-school and I had to adjust for a teen read. But I ended up really enjoying it. I thought the friendship between Alice and Iris was really lovely, and I think it's rare to see a character develop as much as Alice did.
I love a mystery were I guess the murderer really early, so I got to feel really smug the whole time. I also liked how farfetched some plot points were, it felt very Agatha Christie at her quirkiest, which I'm sure is the point

Aside from high schoolers being high schoolers, this was pretty good. Lots of twists that took you round and round before getting to the main whodunnit of it all.

I was really struggling getting into this book in the beginning. And by the time the characters got into the thick of the plot I feel like things were a bit rushed. But overall it is a fine YA whodunit story. I don't think I will be reading the sequel though.

This was a great mystery. I really liked the characters. Alice and her background and obsession with Agatha Christie. Iris with her own past. I loved how the came together and started solving the mystery. There were parts of this book that were sad, bit I really liked how the mystery had so many details and twists to it. This is a good one.
