Very nice pacing and some good depth to the story and characters. The conclusion kind of fell off the sky though. It then looped a bit but still. Would have liked more investigative effort here.

I couldn’t get into this. Made it 150 pages, then skipped ahead to the last three chapters to find out who did it. The murder (and solution!) were weak, not clever. I don’t feel like I missed anything by skipping the middle.

Like my favourite teenage detective mystery shows in book form. Big fan, even if some of their clues felt too easily obtained.

Ik vond het wel een interessant boek, maar het einde was een beetje gehaast, en ook alsof het boek nog niet af was ofzo.

I enjoyed listening to this mystery quite a bit. Unfortunately, it's not really appropriate for my middle school library because a TON of strong language and repeated mature themes. I wish it were because the plot takes a number of twists and turns that keep the reader guessing. I will probably read a book 2 when it comes out.

I loved Glasgow's Girl in Pieces but this one didn't do it for me. The mystery was clunky and the characters were flat. The story seemed too disjointed with the personal stories of both Iris and Alice coming in bits and pieces, but never really coalescing into anything. Alice moaning about how Steve dumped her for her ex-best friend but by the end of the book, Brook was her best friend.
