The story was fabulous, it definitely reminded me of Veronica Mars but also of the Truly Devious series, which are both favorites of mine. The only thing I missed was having a bond with the characters. They felt flat for most of the book, while certain revelations about them were done in the last bit of the book and somewhat glossed over. The plot however was A+ and certainly not what I saw coming.

This was fast-paced, which is probably the only reason I finished it. It’s very obviously a YA novel and seems to have been “written-down” because of that, which is unfortunate. A decent story line and I am intrigued by the few tunings that were left unsolved so I’ll probably be a sucker and read more in the series.
