Overall a cute book. A bit predictable. Found Florence to be a little annoying, but understood considering her childhood.

This book was a lot more about grief, or loss of a loved one, than I thought it would be. The seeing ghosts aspect was not as big a part of the plot as I would have liked, but I think it focused more on Florence's relationship with her dad and family than the romance. Or perhaps it was half and half, but the family part was more interesting. The character of Alice needed a bit more work, imo.
Overall, I enjoyed and would recommend it. It could be better if the relationships were a little more natural and evinced rather than asserted.
The ending was a little too pat. Not only is Ben actually alive, but he sees ghosts as well????????????????? and what is up with Rose and Alice being best friends suddenly?

What a cute read to nearly wrap up my 2024 goal.
I love a good romance but throw in a smidge of graveyards and ghosts and I'm definitely in. The narrator (Eileen Stevens) was quirky and quick and easy to follow.
Ashley Poston wrote about grief and falling in love and the reality that life doesn't stop really well, and this story kept evolving and spinning in a way that made you want to keep reading. Florence and Ben have a great chemistry and their dialogue flows naturally between them. Her family as supporting characters were well-rounded and likeable, and I wouldn't have minded hearing more about any of them. The Days as a family were lovable and honest, written in a way that makes you picture sitting at their kitchen table and watching them all orbit around you.
I'd definitely add another book by this author to my (never-ending) tbr.

Fully finished this in a day and I loved it so much I wish there were more pages in it, so you can take that as my review
Also yes this was so predictable and I screamed into the void half way because I wanted Florence to THINK HOW IT IS RIGHT THERE!!!!, but it’s so predictably GOOD and WHOLESOME
And if someone complains about the cringe or the corny, that is a lie. I have some books in mind that made me curl into a ball of shame after reading them because they were so cringe-bad, this is nothing compared to them (not going to drop names I’m a good person)

sad, cute, cheesy, full of love, full of grief. overall a decent read, but not a life-changing romance.

Easy, enjoyable read. A bit slow at first and you think it won’t be a HEA but it surprises you. Gave me Meg Cabot Mediator vibes 100% and I adored that series when I was younger. Ashley Poston is a fantastic writer (Seven Year Slip still is her #1 for me tho)!!
