Graphic: Death
Such a cute unique idea a woman who sees and speaks to dead people stopped talking to them and left her life after being made fun of. She becomes a writer and is struggling to write about love anymore. This book touches on so much grief and heartache and rebuilding your confidence and finding yourself and love again. So good!
I really enjoyed the story, a bit predictable, but it was a fun, fluffy romance.

Spoilers:
I won't lie, this book did not hook me from the beginning. While the concept seemed fun, I had no idea where we were going with it. I liked that she was a ghost writer for a famous author, and I liked the whole dynamic of her seeing the ghosts, but I didn't know how it was going to end up being the publisher that was the ghost. I have absolutely no idea how Benji wound up in the small South Carolina town that Florence used to live in, but I'm not complaining. I don't know why she possesses the ability to see ghosts like her father, and no one else does, but I did think it was fun that she once solved a murder by the ghost telling her what happened.
Nevertheless, I thought that it was a fun premise. He couldn't fully go into the afterlife until she finished the book, or so they thought. She has been having writer's block since she got into her really bad break-up, and also her dad is dead on top of that. I liked that even though the death of her father was sad, it also wasn't at the same time. It was more of a celebration of his life and love, which was just so much fun. I thought that Benji and Florence were everything together. Their dynamic was so much fun, and I liked that the family just accepted this ghost. Especially when he was helping her cheat at card games.
I loved that he was there for her through a hard time, even though he was going through a hard time himself, being dead and all. Even though, spoiler, he wasn't dead, he was actually in a coma and was just trying to wake up. I love that Florence found inspiration in their relationship and wrote her last book as a ghost writer (also finding out that the woman she was ghost writing for actually died before she was picked as the ghost writer, and the ghost of the author was the one who asked her to continue writing her books was crazy. On top of the fact that she was also the ghost writer for Benji's grandmother. Brilliant). I loved their reunion and I loved that he got to back to her town as a real person and meet everyone and they got to live happily ever after because they were so perfect together and watching them want to comfort and be there for each other while not being able to touch was torture and I thought it was going to end sad but I'm so happy it didn't.
Overall, I had such a good time and it was so much fun.
