This book is simply about love, how it permeates and persists. Between partners, yes, but also family, friends, and even strangers that have a story to tell. I have never truly understood death until I read this book. It is sad, confusing, a goodbye and a beginning. The family dynamics in the book warmed my heart and I too felt like Ben siting on the counter observing the Day family. Ben was an amazing MMC that was so kind, understanding, and all together very endearing. Florence was a character that really grows on you as you meet her in the worst time of her life and take steps towards growth hand-in-hand. This book made me cry, laugh, think, and love.

Wow, this book was among the worst books I’ve ever read 😭 I love cute romance but the dialogue was so terrible and the story was all over the place. I felt like it was written by a 12 year old who has no life experience and only kind of knows what romance or work is from talking to an older kid in the neighborhood or watching tv. The dialogue was just so cringe. The plot also made no sense and the story just jumped from one scene to the next at random and without any closure. Why did they suddenly kiss in the alley with absolutely no build up?? Why did the dad have such a random wish list for his funeral? A murder of crows??!! What was even the point of that? Why did she say she’d meet her family at waffle house each morning and then just never show up (except for the first time)?? How did her sister know she was thinking about Ben when she never mentioned him to her family???? And when they did have resolutions, it was so corny. Could’ve been an interesting plot but was ruined by terrible dialogue.. I’m shocked this is all it takes to be published

Who would’ve thought I’d be kicking my feet about a couple ghosts? But hey, it’s a darling good time.
