Sweet read
A sweet romance with good detail, makes you ponder what you would do in that situation. I would read again

I didn't like this as much the second time around.
Wow, I haven’t read a book in one sitting in a long time! Is this book totally, freaking effortlessly fun? Heck yes! Are there unrealistic, white, beauty standards that annoyed the living crap out of me!? Hecka yes. Did I get super annoyed that people always say a person’s name at the end of a sentence? Heck yea. Did I freaking devour this delicious beach read? Of course I did. (God, reading this on a beach would haven given me major anxiety...). Does this book have some lovely tropes that we all yearn for in our fan fiction lives? It does and I recommend it for anyone looking for some I-can’t-put-it-down-romance.
Update: I re-read this as part of a reading task challenge to re-read a favorite. I have to say, the book looks quite different the second time around. While it's still emotionally tugging and has a compelling story, I noticed quite a few writing flaws that I missed before. Or maybe it was that I was just so involved in the story that I didn't care the first time around. Idk. I'm downgrading a star because I just don't over it as much as I did.
Update/edit: I changed my rating to 4 stars. Not because I suddenly decided I love the book less, but because it just didn't feel right to have it ranked at the very top. Although not poorly written by any means, is not exactly a literary masterpiece. It's sweet and is special in it's own way--which is why I'm leaving it at a very respectable 4 stars.
I read this book in a day. If I were reading it with a "critical eye", I probably wouldn't have given it 5 stars. But I gave it 5 stars due to the fact that I just really enjoyed it and, well, I'm not a book critic.
It is a very quick read. At least comparitively to what I had been reading (the Outlander series). I read it in about a day. My feelings for the characters developed as they did. I loved the watching maturation of TJ. *****SEMI SPOILER ALERT***** I like how the characters really got to know each other before anything physical happened between them.
Over all, I just really liked it. I laughed. I cried. I genuinely cared about the characters and what would happen to them. It is not a particularly over the top story (given the circumstances), but the author does a great job of developing the characters and keeping things interesting.
It's a love story through and through. And a very good one.

The first half of the book was great and really kept me intrigued. The second half floundered a little and made me drop my rating from 5 to 4 stars but overall a pretty good read. Thanks for the rec, Goodreads! :)
I don't even know where to start with this one. What a BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL story. The drama, the connection between characters, their relationship as hardships set in, everything was just wonderful. Even when times were bad, you *knew* deep down that it would all turn out right because these two were obviously meant for each other. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a beautiful love story!
Really hard to rate this one. I liked it enough, but it wasn't nearly as wonderful as I had imagined it would be. Unlike a lot of other readers, I felt like the first half sagged a bit while they were on the island. Most of it was so unbelievable that it took me completely out of the story. And who calls their friends/family/significant other by their names so often? I can't even count how many times I read "blah blah blah blah, Anna?" and "T.J. blah blah." Ya'll are the only two people on the dang island- who else would you be talking to!?
The romance itself was sweet and believable, but it didn't give me that surge of satisfaction when you read about two people who you truly believe should be together. Basically, it gave me very few "feels."
The second half of the story was much better to me, probably deserving a 4 star rating. I liked how Graves brought up the criticism of the teacher/student relationship and how they had to deal with publicity, public opinion, and familial concerns. THAT part of the book was raw and touching and real. I started to actually enjoy the characters during their struggles outside of the island rather than on it- maybe it's because it tests their relationship and shows the strong bond between them. Overall, I was entertained, and I probably would give this a reread in the future. But it certainly wasn't a favorite like I was expecting.

Easy quick read that can be read over and over.
I couldn't put it down. Tracey has a way with character development, I could feel the hesitation Anna felt with TJ on the island, torn between mothering, teaching and partner. Their love was young and innocent, it seems impossible that they'd be on an island for as long as they stayed but the story was fantastic. I can't wait to read more of her work.
