This one had more romantic tension, which I liked. The message of community is a theme through out the series. Both Terlu and Yarrow are awkward and sweet, which makes their tension real and nerve wracking.

Another entry into the cute and cozy low stakes world of the Crescent Island world!  I think I liked this one much more than The Spellshop, despite Lottie doing her damndest when she was first introduced.  Boy, I was ready to feed her some weedeater or something.  Thankfully she, like Terlu and Yarrow, grow and evolve.  Durst writes really cute couples and I really liked Terlu and Yarrow together.  I REALLY need the next book to be about my girl Merin.  I'm so excited that the next book is going to be about my girl Marin.  We love a seafaring women in this house.
