The story continues to take shape. We get a solid clue about Ampersand. We get some backstory on 355. It's still readable and the art is still good. But the premise is still stupid and the characters still mostly unlikeable. But it seems memorable enough that I continue to believe I gave up on this series long ago and this is not a re-read.

After this, only 3 more volumes to go! I really admire the concept and the scope of this series, but I am struggling a little with the cast of characters, as they are all very flawed and at times unlikeable, though of course, no one can say how they would act in similar circumstances. Still, I'm very keen to see how the story wraps up, so bring on the Kimono Dragons.

Man in a burka stripped nude for a tabloid photo. This series is genius. We see 355's origin story. Plus we visit new Beth and discuss how twisted the Catholic church's view of women is. 4.5 stars.
