It's not as Out There or riveting as other Crichton books--it focuses primarily on a corporate mystery needing to be solved. It uses a lot of technical terms, but it's important to remember you're not supposed to know what they're talking about. It wasn't my favourite Crichton, but an easy read and satisfying by the end!

This is a really fun, fast paced mystery thriller about a plane crash. We follow Casey as she truest to figure out why the plans crashed. It’s the perfect summer beach read and it would be a fun movie.

Excellent. Could barely put it down. Finished it in a single day, intrigued all the way through. In my mind, Crichton is the undisputed king of thrillers, and this is a perfect example why.

I was hooked on this book from page one. Crichton did an amazing job writing a female lead, and the tension and mystery surrounding the truth was perfect. I guessed a few things, however that was based on the presented information. It was well done, and I loved every minute of it!

What a well researched book and well explained so it felt natural. I'm an aviation fan so a lot of the terminology I was familiar with but it was. Pacing was fast and it unravelled really well. The portrayal of the media is even more true today than when this was first published. A must read for anyone who likes aviation and thrillers.

I am guessing the accident itself might be inspired by Aeroflot 593 where the crash was caused by the pilot's son flying the plane.
