Loved rereading this story, now that we're getting Scions! Can't wait to reread more!

*Second Read February 10th, 2014*
Really enjoyed this book, of someone with the face who grew up knowing about it, vs. Helen who didn't. Loved it.

*First Read March 1st 2013*
Great short story of Daphne as a young girl, and a glimpse of Ajax, and yeah, really great!

The story humanises Daphne's character and you see her experience is much like that of her daughter. Her thought process is very interesting. Self-preservation is a driving factor in this. The amount of things she has to keep track of, e.g. the consequences one slip up can have, sound mentally taxing. Through the trilogy she is kind of portrayed as a bitchy character. It would be interesting to know more about her and her relationship with Ajax.

Det är alltid intressant att få veta mer om olika karaktärer i böcker, och Daphne är verkligen inget undantag!

Wow. Just wow. I thought I'd read this bit to see if I got hooked with the story, and boy did I ever!! I can't say I fully understood everything that happened (I'm guessing that in order to do that it's necessary to have read Starcrossed), but if there is one thing that I'm absolutely certain about, is that I'll make sure now to read the book! I need to now how everything continues!

I want it to keep going. So short!

I loved it. I give this 5 stars knowing this is a -regrettably- really short work.
Going back to this world was amazing and experiencing it from Daphne's POV even more.

That last image, the train taking their opposite routes, the Furies and that "moment".

I'll be honest: I would read a whole trilogy on Daphne and Ajax, knowing the ending, knowing the tragedy.

Loved it.

Josephine Angelini NEEDS to expand on this short story! It really humanized Daphne and offered an interesting perspective on what it is like to know you are a Scion since birth.

Too short to be rated any higher.

I really enjoyed this book. Mythology based YA fiction is hot right now and some of what it is out there is simply dreadful. However, I found this book to be fairly well researched and well written with good characterization. It of course has the request romance in the story but I felt that it was well handled and not heavy handed like so often is the case. I think I also enjoyed this book because it took place close to home and even mentions the Nantucket Atheneum Library several times.
