well, this one was a mess, but I was mostly just looking for some background noise while inventorying and it did work for that.

I appreciated the breadth and depth this book went into about female serial killers and that it took a more character/person and story based tactic. I think it helped humanize these women and show them as more than the evil caricatures that are so often portrayed. I also appreciated the humor throughout, it surprisingly blended well with the serious topics imo.

I think maybe because there’s a lack of documentation on female serial killers, it’s not that easy to get the most diverse and exciting stories. To be honest, it got kind of tiring to read about different women murdering in the same way for predominantly the same reasons (poison; to get out of unsatisfactory marriages), but I get as well that the reality of it is: women historically didn’t have the social standing of men to carry out killings in a less subtle manner. I came here to read about lady killers, and that’s what I got. The illustrations were also a nice touch.

It was so interesting. I should really read more of these kinds of books. (And I was really surprised when I met a whole Hungarian village.)
