I dont think I was in the right mood to finish this book; plus the 8+ POVs was not my cup of tea.

Especially when the POVs from the different characters arent just in 1st person, but 2nd and 3rd as well.

I did read Girl on The Train by Paula Hawkins and didnt get it either so I tried to give this one a chance and unfortunately I couldnt get behind it.

This book closely followed several seemingly intertwined unfortunate “drownings.” Throughout the most recent tragedies, the characters are forced to confront past trauma and mistakes, so they can understand, learn, and heal. I expected the plot to have a closer connection to witchcraft/the previous “witches” drowned, but it instead felt like a side note. I enjoyed the plot overall, but would have loved if this element was explored more. While the use of multiple character perspectives can be confusing at times, it ultimately complements the story by providing an omniscient POV.

I zoomed through this book in two days. Each narrator was amazing at capturing their character's emotions; the writing was great, and while it was a "murder mystery", it was much more about the characters and their inner worlds/conflicts, and relationships with each other. And the mystery just added to that. I was gripped until the end! Not a happy book, but not without hope.

Women seem to find their way to the drowning pool. Troublesome women. Is the river calling to them to end their lives or is there a murderer among them?
Definitely different. Not something I have read before. There are a lot of characters but the author does a great job of weaving their stories together so I wasn't completely lost. It is explained how each character fits into the story as they are introduced.
Paula Hawkins is a great mystery author that makes you suspect just about everyone in town

This book was not at all what I expected, I had high hopes but it was diminished a little.

The book started too slowly that it made me lose interest each time I picked it up to read, another thing was the switch between POV, that it was hard to grasp who was who.

It was a kinda good storyline with the mystery behind the drowning pool and all the people who died in them and also trying to guess who was behind it all.

All in all the book was quite good but could be better.

It was a really easy book to read. I read it in two days and enjoyed it. But there are things in there that I didn't like, like pedophilia which isn't really condemned and the plot was pretty predictable except for the last sentence where I was like, okay, I didn't really see it coming. But overall it was good!
