Sharing a friends culture and traditions. Such a blessing! This is a very cute book featuring really solid authenticity of the new years festivals and parades.

Good transitional reader type book for learning about Chinese New Year. Disappointed in the illustrations showing distinctly slanted eyes for the Chinese characters in contrast to the circular eyes of the one white character continuing the perpetuation of that negative stereotype in children's literature and beyond.
