evidence of earth's lost civilization, definitely want to do some more looking into this hypothesis but very convincing evidence presented here. Very interesting and captivating

Wanted to pick this up after the controversial Netflix show. While some of his broad ideas are interesting to think about, the book could have been about 3 chapters. He just continually repeats himself over and over.

This is the book that helped start the whole aliens/lost civilization created the pyramids. I have never subscribed to this theory. I think that ancient people were remarkably intelligent and are perfectly capable of building amazing structures and creating complex societies and civilizations. Also, the format of the book is just confusing. Hancock begins by kinda presented a theory about a civilization from Antarctica, then he goes on for hundreds of pages about some coincidences found in different ancient civilizations, mainly in the Americas and Egypt. Then, he goes back to this idea of the Antarctic civilization and the Earth ending soon. However, if this were true, where are the ruins on Antarctica? This would be the question to examine, but of course, is never mentioned. Basically, five hundred pages of conspiracy theory.

X files shit

The theories might be outlandish but it sure is a great audiobook to go to sleep to. 5 stars

Started out very interesting but quickly seemed to turn into a very subjective matter. He seemed to only accept evidence that for his theory and was very dismissive, sometimes rude about other professions which didn't share his belief. Had he left out his personal feelings, especially for the other professions, I would have been a lot more inclined to think more deeply about what he said.
Some of the information he provided was very interesting and provided a new way of thinking. It's a shame that time from the initial chapters were not carried throughout.

I’m not a history buff by any means, but Graham Hancock lays out a unique and an “against the beaten path” perspective of early human civilization. I’d recommend this book to anyone who loves conspiracy, or unorthodox viewpoints on history.

Fun and interesting read if approached from a speculative historical fiction point of view.

Very thought provoking book, definitely read it if you're on the fence
slow-paced
