I have always loved the Goose Girl, and I absolutely loved this book! There was a sad part that upset me so much I stopped reading for a while, but then I got back to reading, and the ending was so good!

I have so many mixed thoughts on this book - I loved the world and the magic system, but I found the pacing in the first half of the book very slow and hard to get into. However, it definitely picks up around the half way point.
I really enjoyed the magical aspect of the wilds and how Jenna's magic is described. I do wish we were able to see more of the wilds in this book, but maybe the sequel will expand on that.

I really enjoyed this! Iβm unsure of how to describe that I felt that this was her debut novel BUT for a first time author this was delightful! I really enjoyed the story and the world. I donβt think the relationship was entirely fleshed out, and I feel like there was more to the healer than was said, and (spoiler) the one princess thinking Ren was cute seemed a bit random? Also this freakin woman went through so much!! I dunno dude she could rally like a mππππ₯°π₯²βοΈππΌπππβ. (End spoiler) overall I enjoyed this story and Iβm really excited to read book two. And to see where this author goes and how she grows.
