I really really enjoyed this book- unfortunately just don’t have the bandwidth and mental space for chunky Sci-Fi at the moment, but maybe I’ll pick this series up again when I’m out of law school

Very good book. I think it does struggle in some parts for my personal taste, but I really enjoy it and have purchased the second one in the series!
If you like: friendly aliens, killer aliens, augmented humans, normal humans, and lore, I say this book is for you. There are parts to it where it wasn't abundantly clear what was happening, but it was really fun to read, and I couldn't put it down once I got into it.

Audiobook masterfully acted by Sophie Aldred. She is a narrator I’ll be seeking out in the future for sure!
Now here’s a sci fi tale with a truly diverse cast of creatures and a complex story line that the reader is rather thrown into (an aspect I rather like). It starts with an Architect, but the explanation of what that is exactly isn’t clarified right away - almost as if the reader is a being on the planet that first experienced this large behemoth in the sky.
I haven’t quite grasped the model of this universe with Unspace and all, but I’m happy to keep reading to learn more. I’m fine without detailed technological explanations detracting from the story.

Really good. Some minor quibbles with unnuanced monologuing. But overall this book was incredibly exciting. Very interesting setting and world building. Can't wait to read the next one.
