‼️ WE GET IT ‼️

Charlie and Ruby!
I loved this book! I had it on my TBR because I wanted to wait until closer to Rope the Moons release. I loved the bond between the brothers, I love the ranch, and the way that Ruby and Charlie loved each other. I’m jumping right into book 2!!

Three things I never expected. One to be in a rut with Christmas romances. Two to pick up a Contemporary romance that takes place in the summer during the Holiday season. Three to rate a Contemporary romance a 5 star.
For the most part Contemporary romances don't tend to be my thing. I enjoy them for what they are, sure, but I usually like to escape from reality in fantasy, gothic, and paranormal books far more than Contemporary (because Contemporary is often just too close to reality).
Then I came across the synopsis for this book. Read a little bit of the Prologue and fell in love with Ruby pretty much right away.
While this book is a Contemporary it is also, in equal parts, its own sort of Fairy Tail. And for a hopeful romantic like me, who still believes in Miracles and Fairy Tails, it was perfect!

Oh this was emotional. My heart hurt for Ruby so much.
Ruby has SVT and she has lived her whole life sheltered and protected by her brother and father. One day on her birthday, she crashes into a pole trying to avoid a squirrel. That almost near death experience wales her up and she realizes she never lived her life. She decides to start living and starts a bucket list and goes to a small town. There she meets Charlie who saves her from a bar fight. Charlie offers her a job to manage the social media of his ranch, cuz they have been getting bad press lately.
Ruby was so optimistic and sunshine I couldn’t help but fall in love with her. She was so good for Charlie. And Charlie was so protective and swoony.
I deducted .5 because Ruby’s heart condition was kept a secret for most of the book. I understood why she was afraid to tell Charlie but I wanted her to be honest with him especially because he already lost his fiancée. Other than that, the book was really great and I can’t wait for the rest of the series.
