This was so incredibly well written. Amazing intro to the community, so much depth to the MCs, deep healing for both, incredible chemistry, great suspense and drama. I just didn’t have any HUGE reactions like crying but I have no complaints! Absolutely LOVED! I can’t wait to continue this series! This book makes you love all the secondary characters too!

Ruby’s heart wasn’t the best.  She wanted to live life to the fullest.  She didn’t know she was going to run into a grumpy cowboy who buried his heart.  Such a great start to the series.   Can’t wait to read more of the series.

I couldn't connect with this book from the start due to the inaccuracies surrounding SVT. The way it was dramatized was so over the top... her having this count down in her head that she'll die in 2 years was wild. And then at the end of the book, she "dies" and is unconscious in the hospital for 9 days just to come out and be better as if it's a miracle and some good medications?

While Ruby lived at home with her brother and dad, she was so protected and caged in that she never got to experience life. This also translated to her character coming across as childish. I can't process that she's supposed to be 26 years old when she's described to be so small and then runs around acting the way she does. Speaking of describing her looks, I didn't realize how much I hate "bee-stung lips".. wtf is that.

The merry go round of keeping secrets between Ruby and Charlie grew old fast. Ruby trying to constantly run away also fed into her character feeling childish. The book was too long for no reason. Glad it's over.
