I think I only rated this one so high because I enjoyed the series so much. The end was anti climatic and to much of the final battle just happened. For having all of the books to build up to it I was unhappy with how small and quick the end was.

This was a re-read and I still love it as much as I did the first time (almost 20 years ago). Things might be a little predictable, but I love it for it. This was the series that got me into fantasy, and it'll always hold a special place in my heart.

I liked the ending of this series. This is a first time read through for this last book. I used to become bored if a series was more than a trilogy. I am very glad there is another series in this world. (The Malloreon).
