I... loved this book. This is my favorite book of Mariana's HANDS DOWN. I loved Zac's character in Wall of Winnipeg (another great read, highly recommend reading that first), and I fell even more in love with his character in Hands Down. Bianca was such a joy of a character and so likable. I'm so used to reading books with a grumpy male lead or grumpy female lead, but this book was all sunshine and it was so unexpectedly wonderful. It was just so sweet and cute and such an enjoyable read. My only complaint is that I can't read anymore of Zac and Bianca's story after they get together, as long as this book was I didn't want it to end!

This had the potential to be so good. SO GOOD. This could have been a 4 star book. I loved the characters on their own and slowburn is always amazing to read BUT EVERYTIME HE CALLED HER KIDDO I WANTED TO STAB SOMEONE. Someone please explain to me why this man thought that was okay to say to her even after they got together? Like it was weird before but after too? I thought there was going to be a whole thing where he randomly stops calling her that (his aha! moment) but he just? Kept? Calling? Her? That? Biggest ick.
The Ivan and Jasmine cameo though

Zapata has done it again. She's written a delightfully realistic and touching romance.
