The themes in Extremity - multi-generational feuds, violent vengeance, and conflict of character identity and morals - have been done ad nauseum in multiple media, but Daniel Warren Johnson has done it with such distinctive style and indigenous-futurism tones that I enjoyed it thoroughly. This came out of left field for me, but I'm glad I read it on a whim.

4.5 rounding down. I frequently bump graphic novels up on a re-read, and I can imagine that happening with Extremity as well. Art is lovely, story is interesting. Action is very powerful. I'm hopeful that volume 2 is a satisfying latter half of the story.

Esta review cuenta tanto para el vol 1 como para el 2.

Me ha gustado, una aventura clásica sobre el ciclo de violencia pero con un dibujo acojonante

A truly original, hyper violent sci fi battle story.

A tale of revenge set in an amazing science fantasy world reminiscent of Burroughs's Barsoom stories. I loved everything about this; the mixture of high and low tech, the airships and floating islands, the dialectic between creation and destruction, the crazy splash pages. Can't wait for the second volume.
