Damage is a delicious slowburn lovers to enemies to lovers story. Not having read the author before, and making a judgement on the title alone, I expected a gritty hard story. What I found instead was the delightfully emotional story of Nolan and Seppe, a perfect couple torn about when Seppe followed through with his life plan and never looked back. The small town of Beacon was written with lovely depth and feels like a place I’d love to visit, the family ties were tight and it really helped flesh out the characters. I’ll definitely be going back and reading the first of the Love in the City series, Deviate, and recommend you do too!
