Are these the best books Ive ever read? No. Have I literally cried reading each and every one of them? Yes.
Thats what Ive realized this year… with all the books I read… and im at like 410 so far this year… Ive noticed that the majority of the books I rate 4 stars are books I think are good… but books I rate 5 stars? Those are the ones that make me feel something. And if I said I didnt sob reading this book I’d be a fucking liar. I am so here for everything Kandi Steiner writes. It’s not just sports romance… the real life angst and issues is so perfectly done and im here for every moment of it.
Makes me not feel so bad for spending $180 on special editions of the entire series 3 days ago before I’d even read the first book

This was really fast paced. I really enjoyed the story but I wanted more from the characters. Julep and Holden were amazing no doubt but while the chemistry was there, I wanted a little more emotions. Not to mention, it was like an insta-love and insta-list situation, which I really don’t enjoy in most books. The dad was another factor that really pissed me off, like yes I read other books with dating the coach’s daughter but this one got on my nerves a lot. Also GIANA IS SO ME IN THE SCENE WHEN SHE TALKS ABOUT HER BOOKS AND WHEN SHE SAID “like I’d waste my time on a book without spice” I felt that

Clay has held the top spot for me in this series but Holden just had to knock him down a peg. I love this man. The QB, team captain, true leader, who’s only love was football- who also has a love for gardening and a soft squishy heart hidden beneath his hard exterior. He’s never been one for relationships but with one look at Julep (love that name!) the coach’s daughter- he knew he was in trouble.
The two of them have both suffered losses, while Holden had worked through his grief, Julep was definitely still struggling with hers. The way that Holden helped her through it made my heart squeeze.
Juleps parents kind of pissed me off, but I’m glad they worked it out in the end.
This book was a total touchdown

i rarely feel like books are perfectly paced with the most perfect smut amount and the most perfect characters + side characters.
definitely one of the books i would like to be buried with <3
the struggles and grief that our characters goes through were depicted so well and so real, i genuinely felt for them with just how the author wrote and approached this subject.
the character developments of both holden and julep were done so so well and i love every second of reading this. i’m so thankful my booksta friends recommended me this book!

There was so much I loved about this book! My favorite characters are back, I found new ones to love, a heartbreakingly beautiful story, and pole fitness getting the respect it deserves, what’s not to freaking love?!

This is definitely my second favorite of this series, Hail Mary still being number one. And although I read these out of order I was so excited for Holden’s book and MY GOD was it worth it.
