while I do find Ninth House better this was still a good book. The beginning bothered me because it seemed like Dawes and Alex instantly figured out the clues left to them where I felt like it was almost a reach for them to guess correctly every single time. I am also sad it didn’t have as much to do with the societies like the first book as that was my favorite part of ninth house. But reading in the acknowledgments that all the sculptures and details described within the library actually exist at Yale was just fascinating to think how the story revolves around an actual thing

Pretty dense but still interesting plot. Didn’t like as much as the first one.

Very creative, but NOT my cup of tea (last 20% made it better though)
