I was excited for another installment of The Black. Unfortunately, this one was just okay. I just didn’t get the emotional connection with the characters or the nervousness of seeing The Black eat it’s way through the walls. It just learned/evolved too quickly for me. I did enjoy the foreshadowing to the next book though
