Okay for a quick and undemanding holiday read. Like a Sunday evening TV drama. You could probably miss a week and not really notice

The front cover is simple but very nicely chosen. It makes you want to pick up this book.

The storyline itself is very interesting, I liked the idea and Mike Gayle wrote this book it's such a moving and loving way.
The feelings and emotions the characters go through are just very well described, to the point of crying my eyes out, especially at the end.
It's something light and easy to read, you get attached to the character's and it's actually such an eye opener to think that that is what some people actually go through in our society.
You can tell that a lot of work has been put into this book and that there's so much human warmth.
I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone, even to people who don't usually read this type of book.

I think this is my favorite book.
"Don't buy a book by it's cover", but that's what I id because I loved the cover. At first I wasn't so sure about the story line and I thought that it could end up being rather slow and without any peps.
But boy I was wrong. I sobbed through the book. It's just so sad (And I won't spoil anything for you).

It's written in such a beautiful way, Mike Gayle has captured the feelings and emotions in a fabulous way. I just couldn't put this book down and read it in one sitting, sobbing away on the sofa.

I had never bought or read any of Mike's books, but I definitely will in the future as I was not disappointed.
Buy some tissues and get started.

I adored this book. From the first chapter to the last, it takes you on an emotional rollercoaster with great characters, well paced and I didn’t want it to end. A solid 4.5 stars.

Fairly enjoyable, but disappointing. I have now read 3 books by Mike Gayle and, although the story lines are very different, they all felt similar. They're all sad, uplifting, bla bla bla, but it can start to become mundane and almost boring after 3 books. I loved the first one, "The Man I Think I know", and may have felt the same about the second and third if I had read them first.
