Second time reading this.
The first time I read this, I was in year 4 (or was it 5?)...and I loved it!
It's been a while since I read a children's book.
It's still enjoyable after all these years...

I loved the jokes and the unique plot line.
It's one of my childhood favourites.
Louis Sachar is an amazing children's author.
If you've enjoyed 'Holes' or 'Pig City', definitely give this a try. (Personal favourite out of them being this one)
I've only read three of his books so I can't comment on the rest;;

My daughter picked this one for our, read independently together book club. Such a sweet story (with a couple considerable suspense moments in there too) and a healthy reminder that communication and compassion are key.

My favorite book as a kid, I’ve read it so many times and couldn’t get enough. I really want to reread it now that I’m a little older.

Sweet, nostalgic and clever. Louis Sachar's books are always great. Glad to finish the year on such an enjoyable reread.
