i think this is just…perfect. i absolutely LOVED everything about this book. the plot/pacing/characters, her WRITING, the natural momentum is something to be envious of. just wow. i can’t wait to read her other novels.

I'm being generous giving this 3 stars, but something about the writing kept me coming back to listen to more of the story (audiobook). Very unlikeable main character, annoyingly so. Shook my head alot. For some reason I was still rooting for her. I do think the writing is good -- I could picture the locations and feel what characters were feeling with the vivid descriptions. The whole time I felt kind of stressed and icky.
