Very spicy but not dark. Really great storyline. I loved the characters and friendship. Emotional and personal growth of characters.
I don't think i'll be reading anymore T.L. Swan books. Absolutely no plot, just "spice" and toxicity.
DNF - I have wanted to try this author's books for some time but this one was just not for me. I really disliked the two MCs and I couldn't find myself wanting to root for them at all. None of the other characters were particularly endearing either. While I usually suspend most of my belief with romance novels I found it hard to believe it was bachelor pad central on one street. I'm looking forward to trying other books from this author that suit my taste more.
Henley James.....you beautiful damaged man.
Ok, so maybe damaged guys are my thing....sue me!
Anyway....I truly don't think there's a TL Swan book I've EVER not liked/loved and this one did NOT disappoint!
Juliet and Henley meet at an event, have an amazing first date/one night stand and through miscommunications have a falling out....fast forward 3 years later and Juliet's neighbor in her brand her cul de sac home is Henley, who is NOT happy to see her and honestly, the feeling is reciprocated by Juliet.
However, Juliet can't deny the obvious attraction and tries to go out of her way to thirstly lure Henley in (a trait i could NOT stand) and it works but doesn't because he's STILL hot and cold with her, even after admitting his damn feelings!
Honestly, the book was great, the storyline was great as always and the spice was just *chefs kiss*. However, I felt the ending was a little rushed and Henley could've definitely begged for forgiveness MUCH more than he actually did. I can't wait to see what else, if anything, happens on Kingston lane.

I feel like this is one of the most toxic relationships I have ever seen in a non-dark romance romance book. Did I enjoy the writing? Absolutely. Did I also hate that these super gross terms for women throughout the book like bimbo? Absolutely. Do I believe this couple stays together for more than five years? No way. Will I read the second book in the series? Unfortunately yes.
