Brooke Shields is the friend you wish you had for this stage in your life. She completely understands what it is to be a woman in her 50’s and conveys it in such a way that I felt seen. She makes the reader feel as though she is not alone in what she is experiencing. And she makes you laugh out loud too! It was fun to be reminded of some of things she’s done in her life and to read of her evolution as an actress and woman. I ❤️ Brooke!
I appreciate that Brooke is honest about both her insecurities and her strengths - and despite her very public life, since childhood, she's really just another woman trying to make sense of her purpose and place in life. Aren't we all?

I started off enjoying listening to this book. I related to some of the things she was talking about regarding aging but as she gets into becoming an empty nester, as some who chose not to have kids, I couldn’t relate to her journey and I started loosing interest. As the book continued, I found myself becoming irritated because it seemed to just be complaining without resolution. As a woman, I already KNOW the challenges we face and can commiserate with that but after listening for 6 hours, I couldn’t take the rest.
