Enjoyable as an audiobook read by the author. I have read some of her other books, but found this one more reflective.  I loved the positive messages on aging for women over 40 and find Brooke relatable and kind.

As a trans woman who started transitioning late(ish) in life, there were so many themes on the topic of womanhood and aging that just stuck with me. The whole book is now full of dog ears but this one in particular is worth sharing:

“Ultimately, I had to ask myself only one question: Do I want to do this? The answer was, quite obviously, no. I wanted to have done it, which is never a good enough reason to do a project.“

I didn't know what to expect but I really enjoyed this. Brooke has great insight on life. I'm about a decade younger than her and still understand everything she talks about.
