Jia Tolentino is a master as what she does. As a staff writer for The New Yorker, she writes in a similar style -- just longer. If you enjoy The New Yorker, you will enjoy this novel but be wary that the length of the pieces can cause the essays to drag and leave unanswered questions.

outstanding. mandatory reading. i thee dread & always be optimizing were my fav essays. i thee dread specifically and personally. ive always had weird & unarticulated feelings about weddings and it was wild to witness them written by a feminist i really admire.
